BSWI THANKED FOR GIFT OF BIBLES
A letter of Appreciation for a gift of 27 Bibles was presented to the General Secretary of the Bible Society of the West Indies (BSWI), by the Lay Magistrates Association of Kingston and St. Andrew. The letter expressed appreciation for the Bible Society's gift to each of 27 newly sworn-in Justice of Peace officers (JPs), as part of the Ministry of the BSWI.
The presentation of Bibles was made at the installation ceremony for the Justices, held at St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Allman Town, on May 21.
Officiating were the Custos of Kingston, who is also the rector of the Church, Canon Weeville Gordon, and the President of the Lay Magistrates Association, Mrs Norma Brown-Bell. Read the entire February 2001 News Bulletin (Adobe PDF format) |
